My Advisory Board was founded by Craig D Robinson in 2017, two years after he retired at age 34. Craig has grown and exited two companies, one in the Melbourne Construction market the other in the Health and Wellbeing space.

Craig now has a passionate vision to share the secret to his success with the wider small business community. 

His belief is that the hardest thing in business is successful execution.

"Ideas are easy. Starting take guts, but still so many do that, how do you take it from having the guts to start to making it a success?
What is the missing link? Why do so many people start and not get anywhere. They simply don’t execute well.
Execution is not actually that hard - its just knowing how to do it."

It’s knowing what your priorities are and what success looks like for each of those priorities and then monitoring how you are going in each of them regularly.

But we don’t, because we are entrepreneurs and we are not accountable to anybody. We know what is best, we find a way that we like or a new idea that we have heard about at a seminar or read about in a book, and we do it flat out - without ever stopping to check that is working, and sometimes we are not willing to review and maybe cut it in order to try something else. Or we just don’t have time.

As Entrepreneurs we have no accountability for our results in the business, or how we spend our time.

Whereas when you have key drivers you need to report on for someone else, it suddenly gives you clarity.

That’s what we are aiming to do with My Advisory Board, without the need to bring in VC or a CEO, we wanted to give Entrepreneurs a success system that will help them prioritise on the right parts of their business to see the results they want.

Sometimes, even though we know that looking at our numbers is the most important thing, we don’t do it - because there is no-one there to kick our arse if we don’t, and let’s face it - there are a million more urgent or more fun things to do with our time.

Our purpose is to help as many businesses as we can to identify and achieve more goals for your success.

Building a high performance team

This book looks at tools for businesses experiencing rapid growth.

Jim Collins found that leaders of great companies get ‘the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seat.’

That’s a difficult task, even when you have time to consider it carefully and you fully understand the roles and responsibilities of each ‘seat’.
